I saw you for infinite times,
But the eyes are not satisfied.
My heart has limits but your beauty has not,
So I couldn't accommodate the later.
The snake charmer himself was charmed
Water was in subconscious with the beauty of fish.
I licked the dew drops on the leaves
and grass top too...
But there was a thirst for another drop
Which never ended.
I saw you for infinite times,
But the eyes are not satisfied.
Words, beauty, essence, smell...
Everything is spread in you...
In your each atom.
Your shyness was the...
Gloden ray of evening...
I saw them when they were
Scattering over the hills and
Illuminating them.
I saw you for infinite times,
But the eyes are not satisfied.

I saw you for infinite times,
But the eyes are not satisfied.

Awesome!!!! No one can praise beauty to such an extent.
Even though the desire to praise it seems to have some limit…..
My friend.......
It is not a praise....... it is just the condition of my heart when she comes to my Dreams.... And I have to stay awake for the whole night.
"I stay up all night when we are together,
I can't go to sleep when we are far.
I praise the GOD for these two insomnias and the difference between them."
I have just read this poem. One thing sure I can speak of that this is written by some Oriental mind who is trying to continue with his traditional(or so to say oriental) sensitivity but for the reason best known to him/her opted the European medium. I really don't know why these writers want to pour champagne in a whiskey glass. The poet should be well aware of and respect the particularity of the "texture of language". It is an humble suggestion. I will be most happy if wrong.
Coming back to Indian writing in English we have plethora of poets who have mastered the art of writing Indian sensibility in a foreign language. Arun Kolatkar,: Nissim ezekiel,A.K Mehrotra,Dom moraes are few of them.
Before Any oriental starts writing poetry in English he/she should read these great poets in order to know the art of reorienting and reshaping the language best suitable to the local sensibility. The tension(some would say dialectics) between the form and content is must. This positions is approved both by the western and the eastern poetics i.e the science of poetry.
@Abhisheka: Few people have been trained in such a way that they feel being rude will make others feel they are just and best critic. They have confined themselves in the cocoon. And refering few irrespective books or obsolete people, whom the world wants to forget makes them feel intellctuals. Just a suggestion, wake up... how long can you cheat yourself...
